Planning to use SCUBA or snorkelling as part of your research at UBC as a faculty, staff or student diving at less than 20m (Level 1 Scientific diver) Diver registration form

Release and waiver form

Occupational divers medical

Occupational first aid level 1
Planning to use SCUBA or snorkeling as part of your research at UBC as a faculty, staff or student diving below 20m but no more than 40m (Level 2 Scientific diver) Diver registration form

Release and waiver form

Occupational divers medical

Occupational first aid level 1
A Surface Safety Attendant, a Scientific Diver or a Diver-in-Charge Quiz on diving illnesses

Dive accident management workshop

Oxygen administration for divers certificate

Occupational first aid level 1
A diver in charge Your Level 1 Scientific diver certificate (held for at least 1 year)

3 dive accident management training sessions

 

To participate in at least 1 scientific research project

To log a minimum of 50 dives

All of the diving courses must be authorized by the Diving Safety Officer
