Field Safety Planning Support and Approval Process
- Ensure you have a field safety plan for your field work activity.
- (Recommended) If you would like to request a review of your Field Work Safety Plan send an email to: UBCV – Safety and Risk Services (SRS) at safety.risk@ubc.ca or UBCO – Campus Operations and Risk Management (CORM) at ready.ok@ubc.ca
- Follow your internal Faculty safety plan approval process.
What do I do need to know before traveling internationally?
The UBC Travel Program is designed for students, faculty, and staff who are traveling for UBC related business.
When students are planning travel outside of Canada for fieldwork, they are also required to register their travel on UBC’s Student Safety Abroad Registry, and to use the resources provided by UBC to support safe travel planning and risk management.
