Cassandra Torres and Evan Lloyd join Safety & Risk Services as Management & Continuity Planning Advisors

Cassandra Torres (she, her, hers) will be joining the team as an Emergency Management & Continuity Planning Advisor for the next 15 months. Cassandra is no stranger to the team, having previously worked as an Emergency & Continuity Planning Assistant with SRS and was invaluable in assisting SRS with running the COVID-19 EOC response.

A UBC alumnus, Cassandra holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Geography, Environment & Sustainability from UBC. Welcome back, Cassandra!

Evan Lloyd joins UBC and SRS as an Emergency Management & Continuity Planning Advisor. He started his career in emergency response with BC Wildfire in 2009 and has been working in emergency management since 2017 after completing an MA in Disaster and Emergency Management at Royal Roads University.

A proud born and raised Vancouverite, Evan is very excited to join the UBC team and is dedicated to building a stronger and more resilient community in and around campus. Evan has a wide range of interests and hobbies and is looking forward to attending sporting events, concerts, and comedy shows once the pandemic winds down.
