UBC offers automobile insurance for the departmental fleet cars as well as rental vehicle insurance for vehicles used for UBC business.

UBC Fleet Vehicle Insurance

UBC Licensed vehicles are covered through ICBC for third party liability losses only. Collision coverage (“own damage” – damage not caused by a third party) and comprehensive coverage for the fleet are provided through a University self-insurance fund administered by Safety & Risk Services.

  • All vehicles owned or leased by UBC.
