Compliance Support Program wins nationally at the 2024 CAUBO Conference

Since 1987, the Canadian Association of University Business Officers (CAUBO) has recognized the administrative achievements in higher education administration through the Quality and Productivity (Q&P) Awards. These awards are like the Oscars of higher education administration.

This year, the Information Security Compliance Support Program, an initiative within UBC’s PrISM Program, won a Q&P Award for the project’s excellence in fostering cybersecurity compliance and safety. The PrISM Program is a partnership between Safety & Risk Services, the Office of the University Counsel, the Office of the CIO., and UBC IT.

The Compliance Support Program communicates essential cybersecurity controls and support units in understanding their gaps and developing plans and processes to improve security. It supports units across UBC to help keep the UBC community safe from a major privacy or information security breach. The program will be actively engaging with the VPFO portfolio over the summer and asks for the support of all involved in this process.
