We are pleased to welcome Sam Stephens as the new contracted Director, Special Projects joining UBC’s Safety and Risk Services team, effective May 2, 2022.
Sam has a diverse background, with extensive experience leading projects and teams within Compliance, Security and Risk Management roles. Engaged in the public sector for the majority of his career, he has worked within unique industries such as CBSA, Canadian Coast Guard, BC Lottery Corporation and most recently with the City of Vancouver. Sam holds a Master’s degree in Enterprise Risk Management from Boston University, as well as multiple industry designations, and has a passion for continued learning and development.
Outside of the workplace, he is usually spending time with his three kids, coaching lacrosse (Go Bellies!), or riding his bike.
