Nick Steel promoted to Senior Advisor, Faculty of Medicine within Occupational Health & Safety

Nick Steel is promoted to Senior Advisor, Faculty of Medicine within the Occupational Health & Safety unit in Safety & Risk Services, reporting to Paul Gill, Manager, Health & Safety Partnerships.

In his new role as Senior Advisor, Nick will lead a team to continue to develop, promote and implement the occupational health and safety program for the Faculty of Medicine.

Nick began his career at UBC in 2008 as a Facilities Coordinator at the BC Children’s Hospital Research Institute and transitioned to a Safety Advisor for the Faculty of Medicine in 2017. He is very excited to take on this role and to continue to work in such a supportive, encouraging environment.

In his spare time, Nick enjoys adventuring with the family and lumbering around a soccer field.
