Lori Takenaka is promoted to Safety Advisor, Facilities within the Occupational Health & Safety unit in Safety & Risk Services, reporting to Paul Gill, Manager, Health & Safety Partnerships effective February 1, 2022.
In her new role as Safety Advisor, Lori will lead a team of health and safety specialists and will continue to support UBC Facilities in the development and implementation of their health and safety programs.
Lori began her career at UBC in 2006 as a dedicated health and safety resource to UBC Facilities. She is motivated daily by the interactions she has with UBC employees and her desire is to make a positive impact on the health and safety of the UBC Community.
In her spare time, Lori enjoys spending time with her family, being outdoors and baking whenever she can.
