Teela Narsih is promoted to Advisor, Safety Program Management & Systems within the Occupational Health & Safety unit in Safety & Risk Services, reporting to Paul Nakagawa, Manager, Safety Program Management, effective February 1, 2022.
Teela began her career at UBC in 2015 as an Occupational & Research Safety Associate with a focus on the development and implementation of the university’s safety program. Over the last 6 years, she has been instrumental in redesigning and updating Safety & Risk Services’ safety training as it was moved from Moodle to the new Canvas/Catalog platform. She has also taken on a leadership role as the key contact for all Joint Occupational Health & Safety Committee (JOHSC) and Local Safety Team (LST) co-chair communication and a variety of safety events.
