Shilan Keshvadi is joining the Occupational & Research Safety team at Safety & Risk Services as the Associate, Health & Safety Education and Audit, on November 1, 2021, reporting to Paul Wong, Advisor, Education Programs & Planning.
Prior to joining us, Shilan was a Research Safety Coordinator at Simon Fraser University, where she acted as the EHS (environment, health, and safety) resource person for the Local Joint Health & Safety Committee to provide updates on policies and practices and address health & safety concerns. She also developed various interactive training modules on topics related to work & research safety for faculty, staff and students across all three SFU campuses.
Shilan holds a Bachelor of Science degree from Simon Fraser University and an Occupational Health & Safety Diploma from BCIT. Her background in Occupational Health & Safety, in addition to her experience, will make her a great asset to Safety & Risk Services.
