Rapid COVID-19 Screening Tests underway at UBC

Safety & Risk Services has been assisting UBC Student Housing & Community Services in a pilot project offering rapid COVID-19 screening test. This voluntary initiative is a collaboration between the Federal and Provincial Governments, Providence Health Care, Vancouver Coastal Health, UBC’s School of Nursing and Student Housing and Community Services. 

Students and staff who live or work in first-year residence (Orchard Commons and həm̓ləsəm̓ House in Totem Park) and are over 16 years of age are eligible to participate in this project. Those who previously tested positive for COVID-19 within the past 90 days are excluded.

Rapid COVID-19 screening tests are running between Feb. 9 and April 8, 2021. For information on this project, visit housing.ubc.ca/rapidtest
