Starting July 31, Jamiann Questa joins Safety & Risk Services (SRS) as Manager, Environmental Services, effective July 31, 2017. Environmental Services supports University departments seeking to meet their environmental obligations as prescribed by UBC Policy #6 – Environmental Protection Compliance and UBC Policy #9 – Hazardous Materials Management.
Jami joins UBC from a large international engineering consulting firm, where she has managed a diverse portfolio of projects as Permitting and Approvals Manager. Prior to her consulting experience, she held the position of Environmental and Public Affairs Manager for Lafarge Canada’s Richmond and Kamloops cement plants. A Southern California native, she was employed as Senior Environmental Specialist with the Orange County Sanitation District, the third largest municipal wastewater agency in North America.
Jami also brings to UBC a Master of Science in Environmental Sciences and a Juris Doctorate cum laude, with a specialization in Environmental Law.
