Community Safety

In March 2026, Campus Security was renamed UBC Community Safety to reflect the department’s broader and evolving role in supporting a safe and welcoming campus environment.

UBC Community Safety operates through four integrated service streams (Community Safety Operations, Systems and Technology, Strategic Program Delivery, and Threat Management that work together to prevent harm, respond to incidents, and support a safe, welcoming campus environment. This includes first aid, security services, event safety planning, personal safety planning, site security assessment, access control, and safety and security systems.

UBC Community Safety is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
