Engaging and celebrating our JOHSCs and LSTs at Safety Day 2025
On Wednesday, October 8, 2025, representatives of UBC’s Joint Occupational Health and Safety Committees (JOHSC) and Local Safety Teams (LST) gathered for a full day of continuing education opportunities and recognition for their efforts to ensure the health and safety of our people and the environment at UBC. With a total of 279 attendees, this marked our largest turnout to date, reflecting strong engagement and commitment to safety.
The day’s agenda included sessions on how to create strong agile minds, effective and non-escalating conflict engagement, safety tools and training, and understanding and preparing for earthquakes at UBC.
