We are pleased to welcome Manpreet Suhi as the new Lead Advisor, Information Security Compliance joining Privacy and Information Security Management (PrISM) within Safety & Risk Services (SRS).
Manpreet Suhi is an accomplished IT cybersecurity professional with over a decade of experience across various industries, including education, finance, retail, aviation, and banking, within both private and public sector organizations. He has been a part of UBC for over two years, contributing significantly to the Security and Access team within the UBC Integrated Renewal Program (IRP). Manpreet holds a Master of Science degree with a specialization in Software Engineering from San Jose State University, California, USA.
As a Lead Advisor, Manpreet aims to strengthen SRS’s Compliance Support Program by driving strategic initiatives that align with UBC’s commitment to privacy and security. His goal is to foster a collaborative environment that empowers the PrISM team and enhances UBC’s overall Information Security posture.
Outside of work, Manpreet enjoys traveling and is a passionate fan of Game of Thrones. He has visited several of the show’s filming locations, including Northern Ireland, Wales, and Dubrovnik, Croatia, the iconic setting of King’s Landing. Manpreet also places a strong emphasis on physical and mental well-being and enjoys exploring the outdoors with his wife and family.
